Four new ways the federal government wants to help Canadians buy their first homes

Finance Minister announced measures to help Canadians buy their first homes in the upcoming federal budget. Enhancements include increasing the Home Buyers' Plan limit to $60,000, allowing 30-year mortgage amortizations for first-time buyers, and providing relief under the Canadian Mortgage Charter. Repayment grace period for the Home Buyers' Plan will also be extended.
