Milton council is advancing the Britannia Secondary Plan, covering a 900-hectare area along Britannia Road, aimed at accommodating a population of about 57,000 in over 17,000 dwelling units and creating 9,300 jobs. The plan features five distinct neighborhoods, with a central Urban Village Centre designed as a transit-friendly hub. It includes diverse housing options, parks, schools, and places of worship, along with a green corridor for active transportation. The next phase will involve tertiary plans from development proponents.
